If you have signed up for one of a KB4girls GLOBAL event your registration will be final once you have created a personal fundraising page. Then all you will have to do is raise some funds and look forward to the actual event! We are looking forward to seeing you there! :)

So, lets get started..

Fundraising is as easy as this:

1. Set up your personal fundraising page by following the easy steps the system is automatically guiding you through and write an engaging message for your "sponsors". Adding and effective image that tells your passions and stories will help a lot!!! (more tips on setting up your page below the links!!!)
2. E-mail your page to your friends and family. It is best to send them in smaller groups, changing your message depending on who you are writing to.
3. Now you are fundraising!

The best part about it is that participating in the event is completely free for you and only costs a few minutes of your time here and there! :) Make contributions to your page a birthday wish or similar and get them in with a breeze!

The minimum fundraising goals we require for you to secure your spot in our events are specified in the event page of each of the events. Please check back there if you are unsure.

And here comes the REALLY good part! For the top fundraisers of each event we will have a big SURPRISE PRIZE waiting that will be announced and handed out at the prize giving of each KB4girls GLOBAL event! So don't just stop when your goal is reached, we will make your efforts worthwile for you! :)

Of course you are very welcome to create a personal fundraising even if you have not signed up for one of our KB4girls GLOBAL events and simply support our foundation by raising funds from your friends and family!

All right, ready to get started? :) Just choose the according link above to set up your page and make sure you know what cause you are rasing funds for (the corresponding charity or foundation is listed on the event information pages!!!) so you can tell your "sponsors" what they are contributing to!

1. creating a personal fundraising page:

when clicking on the link that lets you create a fundraising page for the event you have registered for you will be asked to simply enter your name and e-mail address in step one... step number two will be the following:

after saving your details you can now check out the page you created and configure anything you might want to configure in step number 3:

and while you are still checking out your page a confirmation e-mail has already been sent to you. You will find all necessary info in this e-mail (sample mail below)

and this is how your finished fundraising page is going to look like! :) Now it is time to promote it and start to raise funds! :)

2. fundraising tips

• donors (your sponsors) contribute for different reasons. For personal fundraising pages the main reasons are that they know you and want to support you AND that they are impressed by your fundraising effort or the event/goal you are tackling!

• the main key is that you tell your story. If you are not sure how to start try to answer the following questions: why do you want to participate in the event and raise funds? why is the event and the cause important to you? what will the impact on the charity we are working with mean to you?

• important is how you reach out to your contacts. Share your fundraising page with family, friends, collegues or anyone in your community. Make it your birthday wish or any other wish to get donations for your page.

• it is just as important to thank your contacts after they have actually given to you! While they will receive an automatic thank you note when making the contribution make sure you thank them the next time you talk to them or even via e-mail.

• keep sharing your page by sending updates on your fundraising progress! Sharing your stories about challenges and milestones makes your donors feel that like they are part of your efforts.

• you can also blog about your fundraising page, post the link to your page on facebook, spread it through twitter

• and you can even offer small services in exchange for a donation... for exaple if you drive a friend to the airport or babysit for him/her... aks them make a small contribution to your personal fundraisng page in exchange. :)

• of course there are no limites to your ideas and we wish you a great fundraising experience! :)
